EXPLANATION
SEBI defines Mid Cap companies as those ranked 101st to 250th by full market capitalisation. A Mid Cap fund must invest minimum 65% in mid cap stocks. The ranking list is published by AMFI every 6 months and AMCs must rebalance their portfolios accordingly.
