What does 'time horizon' mean in the context of mutual fund scheme selection?

0% of students got this wrong

EXPLANATION

Time horizon is the investment period — how long the investor plans to stay invested before needing the money. Longer horizons allow higher equity allocation (can ride out volatility); shorter horizons require lower-risk investments (debt, liquid). Mismatching time horizon with scheme type is a common cause of investor disappointment.
