While AMCs can terminate distributor empanelment as per the terms of the distributor agreement, distributors who believe the termination was unfair or arbitrary can approach AMFI for redressal. AMFI has a dispute resolution mechanism for distributor-AMC disagreements. Distributors can also seek legal remedies under contract law.
