What is 'transmission' in mutual fund investing?
0% of students got this wrong
EXPLANATION
Transmission is the process of transferring mutual fund units from a deceased unit holder to the nominee or legal heirs. For nominees, the process is relatively straightforward — death certificate and nomination proof suffice. For legal heirs without nomination, a succession certificate or probate order may be required. RTAs have standardized transmission procedures to minimize hardship for the surviving family.
