EXPLANATION
SEBI first mandated the Riskometer in 2015. It was initially a 5-level scale. In January 2021, SEBI enhanced the Riskometer to a 6-level scale (adding 'Low to Moderate' level) and required AMCs to reassess and disclose Riskometer levels monthly. AMCs must also notify investors when a scheme's risk level changes.
