What is the 'purchase price' (also called the sale price) for an open-ended scheme investor?

EXPLANATION
Since SEBI banned entry loads in August 2009, investors in open-ended schemes purchase units at the applicable NAV without any additional loading. The purchase price = Applicable NAV. However, AMCs may charge transaction charges (₹150 for new investors, ₹100 for existing investors for lump sums above ₹10,000) which are deducted from the investment amount.
